A variety of therapies are in the pipeline that will seek to reduce, treat, cure or prevent food allergies. In addition, research work is taking place that could have direct benefit for food companies. For example, current work to establish a threshold dose for individual food allergens will hopefully provide a sound basis for allergen control measures in the food industry.
